Associate Professor Ali awarded CEC Research Progress Award


Associate Professor Mohammod Ali was recently awarded the College of Engineering and Information Technology’s Research Progress Award. Dr. Ali established the Microwave Engineering Research Laboratory at USC when he arrived at USC in August of 2001. He conducts leading edge research on miniature antennas and circuits for wireless, portable, wearable, and implantable devices. Over the past eight years, Dr. Ali has received grants over $2M. In 2003 he received the prestigious National Science Foundation CAREER Award and in 2006, he was awarded the CEC Young Investigator Award. Dr. Ali is an internationally well-known scholar in the field of platform integrated antennas and wireless sensors. His outstanding research has brought significant recognition to our college. He has authored 40 refereed journal publications, has 63 multiple refereed conference publications, and has been granted 5 U.S. patents.
