Proof of Snell's Law At Lower Frequencies

Jason Ramage

Candidate, Master of Science, Electrical Engineering

Advisor: Dr. Paul Huray

When: Monday, November 20, 2007 @ 9:30 PM
Where: Room 3D05 in Swearingen Center

Abstract:

The concepts of refraction and reflection that Willebrord Snellius proved in 1621 has been widely accepted as valid for all radio frequency bands. It has been scientifically proven many times over the last 386 years for the narrow band of visible light. The experiments I have conducted, along with a cursory analysis, are explained in this paper and may prove that this law is fundamentally sound for lower frequencies of the electro-magnetic spectrum.
